The Queen Elizabeth II Memorial is a commemorative garden in St. James’s Park. Our detailed design features rich layers of hedgerow and shrubbery, drawing inspiration from landscape architect John Nash’s original vision while preserving existing trees and surfaces. These layers of greenery shape both the spaces within the memorial and the pathways that journey through it. Resilient local species, the evergreen backbone of the memorial landscape, grow alongside ornamental species that bloom and change with the seasons in a nod to the Queen’s gardens. The result is a design bridging tradition and modernity: a meticulous and thoughtful landscape, rooted in the heritage of Nash and the Queen’s gardens yet boldly contemporary.
