EXHIBITION SUSPENDED GARDENS - CONVERSATIONS WITH THE ARCHITECT

The MDP agency is exhibiting its “Suspended gardens.” Fifteen extremely urban landscapes closely intertwined with architecture. These above-ground gardens, with their unique geology, offer a radical version of a paradox dear to the agency, according to which a new form of nature can emerge from the most artificial of environments. Sketches, collages, and models illustrate MDP's empirical method, which is often experimental, always evolving, and transforms mineral spaces into prototypical gardens.

The Guide Plan for the Jardin des Plantes of Paris is a landscape planning tool that sets out, for a 10-year horizon, the main lines of development and replanting of the Historic Monument.

The Jardin des Plantes of Paris is the former royal garden of medicinal plants. It is a unique historical garden which is above all a living garden.
All of its plantings are inventoried, referenced and labelled, making it a botanical garden.

Like the Museum's other naturalist collections, it represents a scientific heritage and a tool for research and education which has been modified many times in line with the scientific developments of each era.

The Guide Plan must therefore reconcile art and science in constant evolution; The aim is to preserve a remarkable and educational setting.

Pyramides d'Or 2022, Morland Mixité Capital

Winner of the "Réinventer Paris competition" in 2016, the Morland Mixité Capitale project aims to rehabilitate the former administrative site of the Paris prefecture. Conceived and designed by David Chipperfield Architects, CALQ Architecture and Michel Desvigne Paysagiste, it will reveal an original programme open to all publics. The project involves the structural and architectural rehabilitation of the former municipal administrative site, including the cleaning and rehabilitation of the existing building, the creation of two basement levels and the construction of new buildings on the Seine side and on the boulevard Morland side. On the ground floor, its paved courtyard and arches form a contemporary square, with active, inhabited streets and planted spaces.

Michel Desvigne and his team wish you a happy new year

This mosaic is made up of 142 images of study models corresponding to 63 different projects that were extracted from a collection of a thousand accumulated images.
These elementary conceptual tools are ephemeral and precious.
Together, they compose a kind of living material that shows our projects in a different light.

    « Land and cities »
