TEXT

The departmental park George Valbon is mostly located in the municipality of La Courneuve, however these are the neighboring municipalities of Saint-Denis, Stains and Dugny that benefit the most of it. Indeed, the A1 highway constitute an almost impassable physical barrier between the city of La Courneuve and its parc. The only accesses provided for soft circulations are national roads that are neither attractive nor safe for pedestrians and cyclists.

The project for the crossing of the A1 includes the creation of a pedestrian bridge for soft mobility. This is a unique opportunity both to offer a connection to the park from the city and to open up the new district of Vieux Barbusse, and more generally to link the districts of the city together through a circuit towards the park.

Our mission is to treat the surroundings of this pedestrian bridge on the city side and on the park side: to extend its arrival by a path in coherence with those of the existing park and to establish urban and landscape continuities, the whole achieved thanks to an important work of grading.
