The requalification of the Lys quays in Kortrijk won the 2019 Infopunt Public Ruimte prize for the best public space in Flanders and Brussels. For the first time, the votes of the jury and the public consultation have chosen the same winning project.
Infopunt Public Ruimte represents 150 Flemish cities and municipalities, provincial and regional government institutions, as well as private companies and organisations active in the field of public space.
