Winner of the "Réinventer Paris competition" in 2016, the Morland Mixité Capitale project aims to rehabilitate the former administrative site of the Paris prefecture. Conceived and designed by David Chipperfield Architects, CALQ Architecture and Michel Desvigne Paysagiste, it will reveal an original programme open to all publics. The project involves the structural and architectural rehabilitation of the former municipal administrative site, including the cleaning and rehabilitation of the existing building, the creation of two basement levels and the construction of new buildings on the Seine side and on the boulevard Morland side. On the ground floor, its paved courtyard and arches form a contemporary square, with active, inhabited streets and planted spaces.
