TEXT

Our public space work along the right bank of the Garonne River has transformed this area into an extension of the floodplain forest landscape that stretches through the nearby Parc des Angéliques park and Quai de Brazza quayside. The result is a cohesive environment that flows alongside the river, shaping a park that weaves the neighborhood streets into the new wooded landscape. Three wide tree-lined walkways boast a range of large, medium, and small trees, while maintaining open lines of sight. Grassy lawns and low-growing meadows unfurl near the trees, framed by strips of plant beds that run alongside the tendrils of greenery. The clearly defined layout and visual character of these clearings help delineate the boundaries between private lot and regreened community space. The entire landscape is designed to accommodate seasonal water cycles and enhance flood resilience. Both the streets and public spaces encourage walking, and local residents now live less than ten minutes from a green space. This new park expands and enhances the landscape infrastructure developing throughout the Bordeaux region.
